Process:

The first step is to check whether the site’s overall structure is search engine friendly. This includes:

• Use of Flash: Is there use of Flash that might prevent content and pages from being crawled and indexed?
• Content behind login barriers
• Canonicalisation
• Duplicate content

The second step is to check the site’s on page optimisation. This includes:

• Page titles
• Metadata
• Content
• Keyword usage
• Use of headings, bolding etc.
• Image optimization
• Contextual linking

Output:

Once the audit has been completed, we will hand over a document that lists our findings. It will also contain a list of recommendations on what can be done to improve the situation, including examples. We we also include some key metrics such as:

• Number of pages indexed by search engines
• PageRank of some key pages
• Number of inbound links

The second step in our Methodology is the Implementation stage

The implementation stage consists of various tasks that have to take place as well as the implementation of all the recommendations in the site audit.
